Most of us think that planning our four years in high school should be one of the easiest tasks that we have in the overall scheme of things. However, many of the choices you make can impact your acceptance into major colleges. The following documents are sample plans that will help to give you an idea of the rigor that you will need for certain goals. There are several factors that go into your planning process. For example, are you a math person? If so, you will want to take as many maths as there are available to you. If not, you will want to take what is required for graduation and by the college of your choice. For either one, you will want to take a Math AND Foreign Language in the last semester of your Senior year. This will help you with placement tests when you arrive on college campus. You also need to make a decision on your participation in the NC Scholars Program as well as for some of you to continue on with band. All of these plans include NC Scholar, however it does not always work out in someones favor to take lower level classes as opposed to honors credits. There is also a blank planning page that you may print out and create your own working document from. Don't forget Virtual Highschool is also an option! Good luck!
